The town of Aberdeen may be one of the smallest in the Eastern Cape Province, but it is historically significant and has become a key cultural and artistic hub for all arts and culture connoisseurs. Lying at the foot of the majestic Camdeboo Mountains, Aberdeen is strikingly beautiful with dramatic backdrops and undulating fertility to endlessly rivet those travellers who get the chance to visit the area. One of Aberdeen’s most enchanting features is its dedication to Victorian architecture; with many of its homes built before 1890 and sporting distinctive domes, gables, turrets, and plaster motifs the town has been appropriately declared an Architectural Conservation Town. A very special monument in Aberdeen that attracts its fair share of visitors is the Dutch Reformed Church. For those who are a little adventurous and enjoy the company of other travellers, you can decide to stay at a Backpackers. Often having to share a room with others as well as costs, it is incredibly inexpensive. Often the best choice for those who may be just passing through or will be occupied for the majority of their day. It comes with the most basic amenities and is often formed as part of a bar or similar establishment. Not recommended for those who want privacy, this is best suited for those who wouldn’t mind meeting various other interesting travellers.
