Bauchi’s main focus of tourism usually revolves around the Yankari Game Reserve. However, there is so much more to be explored in this state. Bauchi State has the largest number of forest reserves in Nigeria. Bauchi town alone boasts several notable tourist sites: Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa’s Tomb, the Central Market, Central Mosque, First Mosque, State Library, Emir’s Palace, Geji Rock Paintings, Shardawanka Cave and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium with an Olympic-size swimming pool, a multi-purpose indoor games hall and a games village. The Mbula and Jakiri sacred rocks in Dass Local Government Area and the Malam Zaki in Azare, are also worth visiting.
