Things to do
Enjoy a fresh dip in the Indian Ocean at nearby Brenton-on-Sea followed by a leisurely 1 hour beach walk to the pristine Buffalo Bay. Look out for the dainty pansy shell, believed to be the coins of mermaids.
The beautiful, densely forested area surrounding Jubilee Creek is popular for hiking and mountain bike trails. It’s also a great place to enjoy a shaded picnic alongside the river.
The Knysna Elephant Park is sure to keep the family enthralled with a unique opportunity to engage with these magnificent giants.
Visit nearby Bollard Bay on Leisure Island to kite surf and kayak along the lagoon. For something more adrenalin charged, several tour operators offer hang gliding, abseiling (rappelling) and deep sea fishing adventures.
