Settled in 1793 by the Captain of the HMS Atalanta, Sir Robert Digby and his band of followers from New York and New England, Digby was initially utilised as a fishing and lumber port.
Today, it is a cleverly marketed haven for tourism, particularly as a gateway to the rest of Nova Scotia.
