Best things to do in Franschhoek:

- Horse riding and mountain biking trails through the farms
- Hiking in Mont Rochelle & Hottentots Holland nature reserves
- Great restaurants
I love the fact that all the restaurants, wine farms etc. are so easily accessible. Everything is nice and close to each other and everything is so green and beautiful.
This is such a beautiful and well run town, with an abundance of wine and good food! Would highly recommend this for any visitors seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Or just want a romantic weekend away. It is on the pricey side, so be prepared to pay a bit for a meal and drinks. Otherwise have fun!
The ability to park your car and just walk around the entire town.

The drive into Franschhoek is spectacular; vineyards are planted all the way to the mountain slopes, the historic Cape Dutch homes are lovingly restored and, upon entering the town, you are greeted by a spotless solitary street lined with pavement café’s and alluring restaurants. The street ends at the Huguenot Monument, a fitting tribute to those that contributed to the town’s success... Show more
