More info about Kameeldrift

The picturesque enclave of Kameeldrift is one of Pretoria’s loveliest destinations. Decidedly rural and pretty, it would seem that Kameeldrift is almost at odds with the energy and congestion of inner city Pretoria, and does indeed provide a welcome refuge from the constant happenings and goings-on of the South African capital city. Only 15 minutes outside of Pretoria, visitors to Kameeldrift will experience the refreshing ambience of tranquillity and serenity and can look forward to enjoying some of Gauteng’s most scintillating views. Kameeldrift is all about open spaces and freedom; this is not a place where crowds are abundant or much noise pollution occurs for that matter. Additionally, its breathtaking landscape makes for the ideal wedding venue, while the suburb also has the benefit of being close enough to the city. While Kameeldrift may not be a trendy or chic location like Hatfield or Menlyn, it is home to a number of convenient amenities including shops, restaurants, entertainment outlets, and day spas ensuring residents have whatever they need close at hand. The nearby Roodeplaat Dam Nature Reserve is a popular destination for many Pretoria locals who enjoy the endless delights of natural pleasures found here. Split into two sections, the southern end of the dam is a wonderful bird sanctuary with excellent bird watching opportunities, while the northern part is more leisure-oriented where patrons can enjoy canoeing, fishing, and various ball sports. Kameeldrift’s superb geographical location gives residents easy access to a number of Pretoria’s most sought-after attractions namely the Union Buildings, the Tswaing Meteorite Crater Museum, and Loftus Versfeld which is one of the venues for the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

About Self Catering

Self Catering places can be found from rural to urban areas and can vary in what they offer. They allow plenty freedom and is a great inexpensive way to spend your holiday. They have been widely classified as a “Home away from home”. This is a good option for guests who don’t mind cooking their own food, and are looking for a more independent and flexible form of accommodation. For budget and large families, we would recommend self-catering for a more personalised experience.
