Was great to be able to explore a place with such historic relevance for South Africa. The Mandela house, the Hector Pieterson museum, etc were all fascinating and the variety of crafts and restaurants were great. Particularly enjoyed the bike tour done on the first day which gave us both a visual and historic background to the area.

South Western Township, or Soweto as it’s fondly known, is regarded as the most metropolitan township in the whole of South Africa. There is something inherent about Soweto which exudes culture, heritage, history, adventure and spirit.
