From originating as an outpost of Carthage in the 7th century BC when it was known as Theveste, to becoming part of the Roman empire in 146AC and changing its name to Tébessa, this capital city of Tébessa Province is a place filled with culture, history and intersting landmarks that will keep visitors busy for days.
