The safety and clean beach.
Safe swimming beach. Beautiful lagoon. Well maintained and clean.
Maree is a top class cook, she made us feel very welcome. The small touches from the welcome platter to bedroom chocolate treats are amazing. Her kindness was endearing The accommodation and service staff are top class. The village is beautiful and if you get a chance, have a sunset with Alf who has many interesting stories or get him to take you for a walk in the local conservation area. Thank you for a memorable stay we would love to come back.
A haven of peace and tranquility. Good for the soul.
Small community. Away from the maddening crowds. Wonderful for families with small children, who can play on the shores of the lagoon. Very laidback. Be prepared to cater for yourself - only 1 or 2 restaurants/cafes.

Named after the fish eagle that inhabits the area, Zinkwazi Beach is located on the KwaZulu-Natal coast alongside a river of the same name. Zinkwazi is the idyllic beach getaway, the unspoilt beach overlooked by a protected area known as the Zinkwazi-Blythedale Conservancy. The conservancy is well managed to ensure that Zinkwazi, the lagoon and surrounding indigenous forest remains pristine.
This section of the coastline is known as the Dolphin Coast for the vast number of dolphins that regular visit these shores, the most common being the bottlenose dolphin. The subtropical climate is warm throughout the year and rarely does one need a jacket, even in the dead of winter!
Although somewhat secluded, Zinkwazi Beach is a mere 20 minutes away from Ballito’s lively restaurant and club scene. There are a number of golf courses nearby and nature reserves further inland.
