Reservation terms and conditions

A payment gateway is operational on this website and all major credit cards will be accepted.
Any credit card details supplied will be charged instantly. Should the transaction be successful, the reservation will then be confirmed and the deposit allocated to your reservation.
You agree that this transaction constitutes an electronic transaction as defined in the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 2002 (as amended) and that a binding agreement has been concluded between The Chapman Hotel and you.
In terms of this binding agreement, you authorize The Chapman Hotel (at which a reservation has been made) to deduct from, or to debit, the credit card the amount owing for services rendered or to be rendered.
Your written signature shall not be required for authorisation purposes. However, we may request you to complete an Authority to Debit for record purposes.
The card used to make a reservation must be presented at the time of check in along with valid identification. An imprint of the credit card will be taken to complete the transaction and you will need to sign the original credit card transaction slip.This is to prove to local or overseas banks that the card was present at the time of the manual transaction / the time when the transaction was completed; the card holder was verified and the service was delivered.
Should you elect to pay by Direct Deposit / EFT, then your reservation will only be confirmed when payment reflects in our bank account.
Same day of arrival reservations may only be settled by credit card.
All charges are processed in South African Rands.
All accommodation provided in terms of any reservation made on this website will be subject to the standard Chapman Hotel terms and conditions of residence.
By clicking and accepting the terms and conditions related to the Deposit / Payment Policy button, you similarly signify and accept all terms and conditions contained in this website. Full prepayment of all accommodation charges is required at the time of making the reservation.
Payment of the required prepayment as per The Chapman's Deposit / Payment Policy means you acknowledge and accept The Chapman Hotel's Cancellation Policy.

Rate terms and conditions

Rates on offer on this site are only available in respect of online bookings and include V.A.T.
Rates accepted by you and confirmed by ourselves are not subject to change thereafter.
Should any promotion be on offer after you have confirmed your reservation, you will not be entitled to an amendment of your rate.
Rates are subject to availability, possible fluctuations over special events or peak periods and are subject to review without prior notice.
Rates are charged per person sharing per night, unless otherwise stated.
Rates don't include breakfast, unless otherwise specified.
Rates for accommodation only, exclude all meals.
You will be charged for the accommodation for the original reservation that is processed online at the time of making the reservation. Any amendments to the original reservation resulting in changes to your accommodation charge will be processed according to The Chapman Hotel's Cancellation Policy
Certain special promotions carry their own rates and terms and conditions, which apply accordingly.

TV Remote Deposit

A R100.00 deposit is payable on arrival for the usage of the TV Remote - this may be paid in the form of a Credit Card imprint authorizing the establishment to debit the card should the TV Remote not be returned; alternatively, the Remote Deposit may be paid in cash and such deposit will be refunded when the TV Remote is returned in good order and condition.
