If you, like us, are concerned about the health of this planet, a stay at Oceangolf will, literally, not cost the Earth. Eager to be environmentally friendly, we now rely on the sun to provide almost our entire energy usage and draw our water from deep underground reserves alongside extensive water capture. Imagine standing under a hot shower or swimming in a heated pool, knowing all the warmth has come directly from the sun with water unaffected by drought.
SOLAR POWER: All our hot water is heated directly by solar power, heating 1500l of hot water at any one time. Our electricity is generated by 40 solar panels, enabling us to use solar power throughout the day and battery storage during the night. We have changed all our lighting to energy saving bulbs, and our outside lights are solar LED. Please note, the use of air-con units are permitted however there is an extra fee of R200 per day per room.
BOREHOLE WATER: We have our own borehole, reaching 70m underground, which feeds our extensive tank storage of 170,000l. Our purification system allows all the water to be pumped into the house, hence there are no water restrictions, and our drinking water is double filtered to ensure its purity. Our guests can have showers and baths whenever they want, but naturally, we still ask them to be careful with this precious resource.
We live in a very beautiful part of the Cape Peninsula and take our impact on the environment very seriously. Our responsibility is to preserve the natural beauty and reduce our energy consumption but we also encourage others to do so. We regularly monitor our energy bills, checking no energy and no water is wasted. Our sinks, baths and showers are fitted with reduced-flow-rate taps and the toilets with water saving twin flushes. We have made a significant reduction in our carbon footprint, with the aim of meeting the standards outlined by the Green Tourism Business Scheme and more importantly so a stay at Oceangolf literally does not cost the Earth.
The stylish self-catering accommodation is set in two acres of natural terraced gardens on the stunning Chapman’s Peak mountainside with breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean and the white sands of Long Beach.
Oceangolf Guesthouse accommodates up to 20 people and is close to the Noordhoek farm village, Cape Point Vineyard, restaurants and beach bars and within easy reach of all the Cape’s major attractions. With the beach only 5 minutes walk away, a 40' heated swimming pool (closed between 1 May to 30 Sept), tree-house bar, licenced sports bar (own drinks not allowed), 9 hole putting green, conference room, and car hire, this is the place to stay in the Cape.
Please note, we are not a party/events venue. Should you wish to hold a party/event, prior permission from management is required. Our quiet hours are between 9pm and 8am.

Fantastic stay! Friendly hosts!!!
We enjoyed our 2-night stay in Courtyard 4, it is quite nice.
We spent our 7th wedding anniversary at this beautiful oasis in Noordhoek. We were blown away by the beauty of the landscaped gardens. The grounds were immaculately clean. John & Louise were amazing. We were surprised by an upgrade to a larger apartment with the most stunning sea and mountain views and given lovely wine. We were truly spoilt! There was absolutely nothing to fault. All the comforts you would expect was there and then some.... and the bed was so comfortable. It was a very luxurious stay. Simba and the rest of the team were so friendly and attentive. The only disappointment was that we only stayed 1 night. Will definitely visit again.Thanks John & Simba.
