Montana Guest Farm, has taken the original name of the farm, that dates back to the early 18th century. This beautiful farm in the Schoemanshoek Valley, has been in the Schoeman family for generations. It has now been acquired back by the Schoemans, after being lovingly run by a German couple who owned it for the last 20 years. The Manor House, the Old Stables and the Milk Parlor, were all restored to its original charm and are now offering luxury accommodation amidst tranquil Karoo gardens. Together with the 2 swimming pools on the grounds, this paradise is completed by the breath taking views over the Schoemanshoek Valley.
The Old Manor House is the place where guests can relax after a long day of touring and sightseeing, with a glass of local wine, or one of our specialized gin-cocktails from the bar. There is also a library with books in German, Dutch, English and Afrikaans, that invites guests to spend hours in the shade of the old pepper trees. A pool table, restrooms, and a veranda wrapped around the house, completes this picture of old-world luxury and tranquillity. During the winter months (May-August), guests can relax in front of the cosy fireplace.
Montana Guest Farm offers 10 luxury en suite bedrooms, each with its own veranda, air conditioning, minibar fridge, tea and coffee facilities and informative books on the area. All bedrooms overlook the Swartberg Mountains and the beautiful gardens.
Our spacious Cactus suites now also offer self-catering facilities for families. Each of these suites has a spacious lounge with fireplace. It easily sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. The bathroom offers a whirlpool, a spacious shower system with variable shower, and a separate toilet and bidet. Each suite has underfloor heating, air conditioning, hair dryer, minibar (on request). The small kitchen consists of fridge, microwave, small cooking facilities, and the basic utensils to cater for a family of four.
The garden right next to it, offers a special pool with natural waterfall and Jacuzzi.
