After learning of this place from our daughter and her husband who enjoyed a night on honeymoon at your establishment, cottage no 4, my wife and I decided to take a drive to Citrusdal, we always drove pass Cederkloof enroute to the Baths, didn't know the place existed, upon our arrival the staff paid attention to the finer detail for example the braai wood, Blitz, braai grid and potjie supplied by management, as well as the fresh coffee beans and Rooibos tea with ice in the freezer and all necessary utensils, the jacuzzi was plugged in and ready for use, we regretfully only stayed over for one night as we had to leave the next day but we shall definitely be back, hopefully nothing less than 3 nights, fabulous time we had!

We've enjoyed our stay. The place is well looked after. I loved the fresh coffee and coffee grinder in the room. It made my day to start your day with proper coffee. The hiking was great, but a bit hectic at certain places. But I still enjoyed it.

We stayed in one of the bell tents with our two dogs and it was amazing. The bell tents are all located in a shadowy wooded section and separated from each other by bamboo structures ensuring the necessary privacy. I had no idea that each bell tent came with its own freestanding kitchen tent with all the necessary things to make our stay very comfortable. The kitchen tent has a two plate stove kettle, cutlery, dishes, bowls but most valuable of all, a fridge, which kept our drinks cold an our food fresh. We spent many hours just relaxing on the outside bean bags , reading and relaxing. The bell tents have an outside communal shower with hot water which was such a pleasure after our morning hikes. The dogs were in heaven from the get go and they got along fabulously with the owners dogs who seemed to be very used to mingling with strange dogs. The two main trails on the property was awesome. The longer one was very rewarding and we were delighted with the many unusual species of flowers along the mountaintop. Be sure to do this early as it gets quite hot after 9. The smaller fairy trail was magical with all its shaded twists and turns along the riverside. We were thrilled to find the bushman drawings.
We spent a lot of our time at the main facility and utilised the braai and washed our dishes in the kitchen. The bathrooms were neat and I found the provision of hand towels at the basins invaluable as things do get a bit dusty in around the tent. I is apparent lot of effort is being made to clear and replant fynbos in huge areas in and around the tents and the rest of the facility. I can only imagine how much more magical the place will be in a year or two when the new plants take root and flourish. As it is, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back for more. Thank you Yvette for hosting us! we loved it.

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Cederkloof to anyone! The birds chirping in the morning, the fully equipped houses and easy access to hot and cold water pools made the stay so much better. We will definitely be returning soon.

Sadly we could only escape to Cederkloof for 1 night but we will definitely go back for at least 3 nights sometime in the near future. The owners are doing a wonderful job at rehabilitating the land. The self-catering cottage was very comfortable and the Jacuzzi was a welcome treat for our tired bodies. We didn't mind all the birds visiting.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay. Tranquil setting among-st the fynbos and birds. Hot or cold Jacuzzi by the fire and very comfortable beds. The chalets are also arranged to maximize privacy. The stargazing was amazing too, but there was no moon during our stay, which made it better. Thank you Anja, we will definitely be back soon!

Cederkloof is a marvelous country retreat. The wild/tended gardens are exquisite. Clearly a lot of hard work goes into them. We really appreciated bringing our two dogs and they had a great adventure. The cottage offers a full set of all one needs, right down to the delicious coffee beans. All in all it’s a tranquil and very special retreat.

Unfortunately, we were there on a Sunday, which means almost everything is closed. We did luckily find a wonderful restaurant called Smul and had the most amazing burgers and service there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Citrusdal.
