5 Camp Street Guesthouse & Self-catering is ideally situated in the central, trendy and historic suburb of Gardens, on the lower slopes of Table Mountain. Within easy walking distance of Kloof Street, with its vibey restaurant and café culture. The city centre is a mere five minutes away and you will find yourself in the heart of Bohemian Long Street, or shopping centres and numerous other attractions such as: the famous Mount Nelson Hotel, the V&A Waterfront, Green Point Stadium, and theatres. It is an easy ten minute drive to the popular beaches of Cape Town like Camps Bay and Clifton. Cape Town International Airport is a thirty minute drive away and easily accessible from the N2. Public transport is close at hand, and airport transfers can be arranged.
Table Mountain is just up the road, and it is an easy walk up Lion´s Head with its ever-changing views of Cape Town. For your evening meal, you have the choice of more than 20 restaurants and a few cosy pubs within a few minutes walking distance of us

Knysna 2 Bedroom Cottage:

We now offer our guest’s a lovely 2 bedroom cottage in Knysna, located in the centre of the garden route, an easy 5 hour drive from Cape Town.

Knysna is an eco-wonderland offering magnificent beaches, hiking, walking, cycling and water activities.

Garryard Cottage offers 2 bedrooms on the ground level and a full kitchen and lounge on the first floor. The patio and barbeque area offers breathtaking views of the Knysna Lagoon.

The house Garryard was the first built on this hill, by an Irish doctor in 1921-23, and was known for its wonderful garden full of roses.
The original house name derives from ‘garraiard’, the Irish Gaelic for ‘high garden’:‘garrai’ = ‘garden, and ‘ard’ = ‘high’.

Very welcoming and helpful hosts. We stayed in 3 bed cottage. Was spacious and beautiful beside the pool. Felt secure and happy to be central in cape town, an easy walk or drive to everything. Would definitely stay again if we get back to Cape Town one day.

Accommodation in a Victorian house, equipped with every comfort, with a huge living room, where you will find a sofa that will take away the urge to go out and see the city (careful with it) of how comfortable it is, king XL size, kitchen and bathroom with shower and bathtub. With garden, pool, overlooking Table Mountain, a cozy cafe open 24 hours where you serve and aim what you take in a register, which is charged at the check-out. With an excellent location in one of the famous for hosting restaurants of almost all nationalities, supermarkets, shops... The manager is hyper-efficient and will solve any need you have at a more peaceful areas of Cape Town, whether to hire a tour, rent a car, book yourself at a restaurant table or recommend your plan views of the city from its deep understanding of it. Proficient Emmy, I put a ten. The rest of the staff very friendly and obliging and do an exquisite job. Housekeeper five stars, neat, no one hits. Total, that were it not that I have to go back to work, I stay there for life.

The house was large and beautifully furnished. It was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. It lies conveniently for Kloof Street and Long Street. The manager is very friendly and helpful. You even have a view of Table Mountain from the premises.

5 Camp Street had everything I needed for my visit to Cape Town, comfortable, spacious and tasteful accommodation with beautiful views of the mountain. The hosts were warm, friendly and inviting and attended to all my needs. I definitely would use them again especially as it is so central and close to shops, restaurants and places of interest.

Very pleasant well size unit with nice new bathrooms and kitchen. Near good shopping area with Checkers and Woolworths for food shopping. Very central could get to Camps bay and waterfront quickly recommended.

Very good guesthouse with excellent staff. Nice rooms with perfect bed. If there also was breakfast, it would be the most perfect place of South Africa! But you can have a good breakfast at "Arnolds" for about R35 p.p.

Three of us stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was so much better than a hotel. We had a spacious lounge and kitchen area as well as a small verandah so were not stuck only in a bedroom. The complementary WiFi was appreciated and management/staff always helpful.

We spent 4 nights at the guesthouse with our 2 kids, all had a wonderful time. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, went out of their way to help us. Units are beautifully furnished and large.

We recently stayed in the 3 bed roomed apartment at 5 camp street & were very impressed. The accommodation was spacious, clean and well furnished. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful & the optional welcome pack of basic provisions was a nice touch after a long journey. The location is great, with a short walk to local restaurants & cafes and within easy reach of the city centre. A safe, secure and very pleasant option for a stay in Cape Town.
