Intibane Lodge is a game/cattle farm situated approximately 15km from Ulundi on the R66. The activities that can be enjoyed on the premises are: Swimming (Swimming towels are NOT provided), Early morning or late afternoon game walks to give our guests the opportunity to capture the magnificent view of our bushveld scenery, Bird watching, Game viewing, Mountain Biking (Bikes to rent are available)and spending quality family time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In Room Facilities:
The Intibane Lodge offers guests a choice of Self-catering Chalets, Self-catering Log Cabins, and Luxury Rooms. All the units are air-conditioned and they are comfortably furnished for convenience with TVs with DStv, fully equipped kitchenettes and tea and coffee making facilities. Each unit also has its own bathroom, large verandah and braai. Linen and towels provided (own swimming towels required).
Only 15km from Intibane Lodge is the fast growing town of Ulundi and a further 35km away is the world famous Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve. There is a well facilitated airport at Ulundi. Next to Intibane Lodge (±5km) is the newly established Ophathe Game Reserve. Intibane is situated in the Valley of the Kings, filled with historical sites such as: Mgungundlovu, Grave of Nkosinkulu, Grave of Piet Retief, Grave of Senzangakhona, Grave of Jama, Grave of Queen Mtanyia, Grave of Ndaba, Grave of King Dinuzulu, Spirit of Emakhosini, Gqokli Battlefield, Battlefield stop; Ophathe, 4 x 4 trails (Ophathe).
The lodge has a communal braai area that guests can use, and the on-site restaurant offers breakfasts and an a la carte menu for supper. A conference and wedding facility is also available. A cash bar with a pool table and darts for entertainment, as well as a pool, is also available to guests. Various activities can be enjoyed on the lodge itself; from early morning or late afternoon game walks, to mountain biking, but guests please need to bring their own bikes.
Intibane Lodge is a home to a variety of game such as zebra, giraffe, kudu, duiker, impala, reedbuck, bush pig, waterbuck, jackal, hyena, a large variety of birds, and warthogs, offering guests an unforgettable bushveld experience.
