Situated on the R66 Zulu Heritage Route about one and a half hours drive from Durban, the old capital of Zululand, Eshowe enjoys a cool, elevated position with mild climate. Our luxurious, secure, continental style lodge can be found at 7 Natural Arch Drive, Eshowe, the tree lined gateway to historic Dlinza Forest and Fort Nonquai.
In addition to a hearty breakfast, packed lunches and evening meals are available on request. A feature of the indigenous garden is a bush braai (barbecue) where guests can sit around a log fire in the evening, exchange stories of the day's adventures and plan for the next day. Our environmentally friendly policy, incorporating solar water heating and low power usage, reflects our philosophy and commitment to helping save the planet.
Eshowe is close to battlefields, beaches, and Big Five game reserves and is the ideal base to discover the Zululand Birding Route, the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Saint Lucia, the Hluhluwe Umfolozi game reserve and historic Anglo-Zulu war sites such as Rorke's Drift.
In Room Facilities:
The lodge has five double/twin bed rooms and a family suite, all with en suite bathrooms. Each room is equipped with DSTV, Wi-Fi, tea and coffee, hair dryer and private patio where guests can relax and enjoy the indigenous garden.
