Welcome to A Garden Suite.

A Garden Suite is situated in Pietermaritzburg, close to shopping malls for your convenience.

We offer our guests a choice between a cooked “English” breakfast" or a “Health Breakfast” which includes fruit salad, yoghurt, muesli and/or bran muffins.

The West Wing - This is our largest room, offering a king size bed and a TV with selected DStv channels, as well as a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster.

The Garden Snug - This cozy room offers two single beds on different levels and has a bar fridge with a microwave.

The French Room - This room offers a king size bed with a TV that only has SABC channels, as well as an en-suite bathroom with a shower.

There is a communal swimming pool available for all our guests.

A Garden Suite is a lovely, affordable family run B&B in the lush, northern suburb of Athlone, Pietermaritzburg. Our rooms are tastefully furnished with lovely cottage pieces and comfy beds, duvets and throws. Please note that at present we only offer a packed breakfast.

In Room Facilities:

Each room has a private entrance, en-suite bathroom, tea-station, small fridge and microwave, television, fans and heaters. Good quality WIFI is available in the West Wing and French Room. We have invested in gas geysers and have generator and water solution on stand by.

Area Information:

We are 1 minute from Grey’s Hospital.

We are 7 minutes from the City Hall/centre of town.

We are close to a number of private schools with easy access from the highway.

We are 20 Minutes from Midman Dam and 15 minutes from Hilton and the start of the Midlands Meander.

We have two lovely parks nearby for walks and picnics.

We are two minutes from Victoria Shopping Centre which has a upmarket supermarkets and 5 minutes from Cascades Shopping Centre with some lovely restaurant options. Fit 24 and Virgin Active Gyms are nearby.

We have a number of lovely restaurants in our area.

Property Facilities:

Children can play on swings and jungle gym and enjoy the beautiful garden.

Braai facilities by prior arrangement.

The Swimming pool is has just been renovated.

Attractions:

We are 7 minutes from the City Hall which is the start of Comrades Marathon and Amashova Cycle race. We are 20 minutes from Midmar and 30 minutes from the Midlands Meander. We are 5 minutes from the Cascades Mountain Bike track. We have a number of lovely parks in Pietermaritzburg including the Botanical Gardens and are 30 minutes from Tala Game Reserve and African Birds of Prey.
