Boer & Brit Self-Catering Guest House is a very convenient halfway overnight stop between the Free State, Gauteng, Mpumalanga and the north or south coast of Natal. The guest house offers 9, well-equipped, spacious units with their own entrances, private bathrooms and kitchenettes. All units are serviced daily, 7 days a week.
Amenities include enclosed and outdoor braai (BBQ) areas, an outdoor swimming pool and secure, off-street parking behind locked gates. We have CCTV covering the main gate, parking area and common areas.
Ladysmith and surroundings is a historical paradise and people from all over the world view the many battle sites, museums and cemeteries dotted over this area from the 10 major battles fought here during the Second Anglo-Boer war from 1899 to 1902. The names of Spioenkop, Colenso, Platrand and Elandslaagte are the main attractions. Ladysmith's Siege Museum is a must for all historical buffs, and the town hall is worth a visit where the two Howitzers used during the Anglo-Boer War, Castor and Pollux, are on display. Other gunsites are open for viewing in and around Ladysmith.
