Little Willow Brooke is ideally appointed: within easy walking distance of Franschhoek’s hub, yet in atmosphere, miles from anywhere. Perched above a bubbly stream that meanders through a rush of oak and willow trees (hence the name), Willow Brooke is a cute Cape-styled country cottage with all the traditional elements: green tin roof, rough white-washed walls, wonky terracotta paving, rietdak ceilings, cottage furniture and paintings of country scenes. It’s ideal for a romantic couple seeking a cosy base to the surrounding area – anything more could be a bit cramped.
Rocky Pools in Betty's Bay on the sea front is a far cry from some of the face-brick monstrosities along this stretch of the Bettys Bay coast. As far as beach houses go, it sits way near the top of the pile – tasteful design, unobstructed views, and an uncluttered interior befitting the ideal beach holiday.
Little Willow Brooke's neat interior comprises a separate ensuite bedroom with queen-size bed (with a view) and a tiny kitchen that forms part of the lounge area, where you’re likely to spend your evenings in front of the fireplace with a glass of red or white wine from one of the wonderful wine farms in our valley listening to some lovely music - CD player in cottage. Coffee table books to browse for your convenience.
WILLOW BROOKE GUEST SUITE
Room with private
Rocky Pools :
The main bedrooms are en-suite and have wide ocean views from their queen-size beds, while the open-plan living area is spacious and conducive to a very sociable weekend, combining a lime washed country kitchen, a long dining table and comfy couches set around a massive hearth for those dark and stormy nights. A good choice if you can afford the price tag.
Little Willow Brooke is 1.8km from the centre of Franschhoek , the nearest airport 57km (Cape Town International Airport).
Rocky Pools is protected from the Bettys Bay ocean by a buffer of jagged rock pools and coastal fynbos. A short stroll to the left leads to Penguin Point and its population of quirky birds, while an amble to the right lands you on Betty’s long moody beach.
Property Facilities:Little Willow Brooke:
Outside, you have the choice of wallowing in your own private plunge pool or ambling down to the stream and dozing under the trees on a patch of open lawn, or having a braai / barbeque in our Lapa for a South African experience whilst watching the squirrels playing in the trees and seeing some fantastic bird life....
Rocky Pools :
The prime setting is exploited with a shady veranda equipped with lime-washed Morris-style furniture, and a sheltered braai area built around the local rock. Stepping through the wide glass sliding doors (again, a sensible choice), the interior is spotless and the fittings and fabrics tastefully coordinated. Kilims, downlighters, DSTV (with a choice of four remote controls!) and a dishwasher lend a definite luxurious touch, complemented by screed floors and cretestoned walls. Not all units have WiFi.
Little Willow Brooke:
World renowned for its spectacular beauty, superb Cape wines and world class restaurants, the beautiful village of Franschhoek is a definite must-visit destination on any trip to the Western Cape of South Africa.
Rocky Pools :
All the coastal villages along this stretch of rocky coastline have beaches – some longer and some safer than others.

Amazing peace of heaven tucked away in Franschoek. Was the perfect setting for anniversary celebrations. Will definitely be going back for a longer stay.
My hubby and I had an excpetional romantic getaway at this beautiful secluded spot with no one but the beautiful stream, forests and birds. Only regret is that we did not go for 3 nights. Next time.

Franschhoek Reviews
Clean, feels safe and beautiful views and hikes.
The village vibe and how safe it is. Also, everyone can walk to where they want to go, instead of getting into a car every time.
Weather, shops, restaurants. Access to vineyards, trips, park run.
Holiday atmosphere without crowded chaos.
Wine farms, street cafes, Hussar's Restaurant, cleanliness.!
Beautiful area. So much good wine and food and great accom!
There are a vast variety of coffee shops and restaurants, the sky is the limit when it comes to satisfying your tummy.
What a fantastic experience on the Franschoek Wine Tram! 10 stars from us. Take some time to research which estates you would like to visit to choose the best route. We chose the Grey route and stopped at Franschoek Cellar, Leopards Leap and Rickety Bridge as these were all child friendly options. We will definitely be back without the kids ;) Also, great service and food at the River Café.
Views, restuarants, wine.
Wine tram. Conveniently located one hour outside of Cape Town.
