The two-storey apartment building consists of 12 privately-owned apartments. Facilities include a balcony facing Herte Street, one bedroom with an extra length king size bed, one single sleeper couch in the lounge, a fully equipped granite kitchen with a washing machine, fridge-freezer, oven, stove, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, coffee peculator, cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils. Linen, towels and guest amenities are provided. Other features include air-conditioning, heaters, television with the full bouquet of satellite channels, DVD player, WiFi and an electronic safe. The unit is situated inside a security complex and secure cover parking is provided.
Within walking distance are numerous quaint Stellenbosch coffee shops, excellent restaurants, museums and other historic sites. Squirrel & Vine apartment is in the heart of Stellenbosch's tourist district, and Herte Street is an oak-lined one-way street. The apartment building in which the accommodation is situated consists of twelve privately owned apartments. Oom Samie se Winkel ('Uncle Samie's Shop') is 150 meters from the apartment, and the Stellenbosch Tourism & Information Bureau 250 meters away. Very close to Stellenbosch University, Paul Roos Gymnasium School and Stellenbosch Medi-Clinic.
