Welcome to The Red Tin Roof,
She's been sleeping guests, feeding strangers and quenching thirsts for almost two decades and as far as we can gather we are the fourth set of owners to open her doors. In doing so, we gave her a complete facelift. We not only re-christened the old bag, but also donned her in new colours. Known as a bit of a party animal, we enlarged the bar - and then added another one. We have re-vamped her from head to toe and decorated her with our eclectic mixture of art and collectibles that we have accumulated from around the world.

Very pleasant stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The bed was outstanding and the breakfast delicious
A lovely relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back.
From the time we arrived to when we left, we always felt at home. The guest house is fantastic—large comfortable lounge.
And the food - amazing calamari. The chicken espetada was cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced.
Thanks so much for your outstanding hospitality.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Tin Roof, and although brief, it was extremely pleasant. The ambience was calming and perfect.
Very nice accommodation, rooms and bed were really nice. Service was efficient and friendly. Supper was excellent. Pancakes for breakfast were great.
Wonderful atmosphere & very accommodating and eager to please.
Hi Sam and staff. Staff friendly, breakfast excellent, all in all a nice experience. Thank you!
We had a very pleasant mid week stay over. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast good, our first time in the town and we will be back again.
We stayed at this guesthouse before, but under the name Traveller's Rest. This is a great venue for a few couples to stay together as a group. All the rooms lead into a bigger lounge area with a fireplace - ideal for winter. The glass of champagne on arrival was a very nice surprise. Breakfast was very nice as well.

Lovely town for eating good food, meeting friendly people, relaxing and just chilling out
The oldest hotel in South Africa. Delicious meal at Pinata.
Beautiful village with interesting shops and places to eat
Nice artistic vibe.
the variety, the quality and quantity of restaurants, the views
Cafe Felix is lovely. We had dinner there. Wonderful atmosphere. The quiet of the town. At night you can "hear" the silence. Beautiful place.
The wonderful location, the views, the mountains and the local people. We met a fantastic artist call Piet Blom, and his wife Hester! His paintings are all about trees, and the complexity in his art is incredible!! We bumped into Mornè du Plessis, what a great man! And Roberto the Italian owner of Angies is a great host and looking after every patron personally.
For me the people, the unique town setup and the wine and nature and the simplicity of all makes it a great destination.
Beans about coffee!!
The local people made the atmosphere much more pleasant. Wineries are great!
Relaxing farming community.
