Welcome to Lankverwacht Guest Farm.
Leave the husstle and (busstle) of hurried life behind and enjoy our 800 hectare of wide open space. Our two cottages are private and secluded and both are fully self-catering units equipped with all the essentials. A fireplace ensures a warm and romantic evening. Braai facilities at both units.
The farm lies outside the country town of Vanrhynsdorp, surrounded by mountains, with views over the Knersvlakte. Spring kick-starts the flowers of Namaqualand, turning the surroundings into a canvas of nature’s best.

We had a very pleasant experience.
Very cosy and comfortable chalet.
Everything that was needed for a relaxed 'back to basics' few days in Nature.
Flowers were lovely and we had great sightings of some special birds.
Beautiful remote setting. The scenery is breathtaking. The cottage we stayed in quaint and comfortable. The property is close to the area's attractions and easy to find. Ingrid the host is lovely.
The cottage provides all the basics for self-catering, in a beautiful environment. Serves as a good base to explore the Tankwa National Park or the Karoo towns in the vicinity.
New owners had just taken over the cottages just a few days before, so there was some confusion. But the cottage was warm and comfortable.
The new owners intend renovating the cottage and we possibly were the last guests .
The cottage was in a beautiful valley with breath taking views.
We were warmly received, and enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere. It was the type of stay we were looking for.

We had a lovely time at Lankverwacht. Even though it was a very cold night, the house was nice and snug. The cottage appears isolated, but at no time did we feel unsafe. Would recommend it to anyone.

Good location for overnight stop.
Nice quiet rural town.
We were flower hunting and it was a perfect place to do that from. Even though the weather was against us, we still saw lovely flowers.
All surroundings even with little bit of flowers!!
It has a nice new OK mini market for buying groceries and a butcher and bottle store all right at the entrance to the town and two petrol stations. There is a well renowned succulent nursery in town and a nice coffee shop.
It is situated on the knersvlakte with unique biodiversity and incredible succulents and flowers.
I would like to retire in Vanrhynsdorp.
