Peaceful and quiet self-catering cottage accommodation on an olive smallholding approximately 1,5 km outside Vanrhynsdorp. Enjoy a relaxing walk to the river which runs through the ground or relax under the tree whilst enjoying the view of the Gifberg Mountain.
Our cozy cottages are open plan structures. Kalamata Cottage and Mission Cottage each has one double bed and one single. Frantoio Cottage has two single beds in the open plan area with a seperate bedroom with a double bed. Vanrhynsdorp is a popular vacation spot mainly due to the annual transformation to a wild flower heaven.
We are also close to wineries, a quiver tree nursery, the Latsky Radio museum and of course the Gifberg/Maskam mountain with its unique rock formations and fynbos. Vanrhynsdorp is filled with lovely restaurants. At the old gaol there is a unique art market that sells products made by the locals.

Botuin is an oasis. It's a peaceful, green space making it a great place to stay. The cottage was comfortable, very well equipped and spotless. Salome is a welcoming host. Highly recommended!
The cottage was clean, well kitted out and had a really comfortable bed. It also included a well stocked coffee/tea station which we greatly appreciated! Would be happy to stay here again.
It was an amazing experience. Very spacious and neat, so tranquil.
Great little place to rest, relax and unwind from the drive. Price reasonable, very clean and tidy, well appointed, rustic but certainly not shabby. Great welcoming host, very friendly and accommodating.

Well located on a nice and quiet farm virtually in Vanrhynsdorp on the edge of town. We had a lovely garden cottage with kitchen, outside verandah and braai facilities, and bathroom with shower and a comfortable queen size bed. All tastefully decorated and modern. Host was very friendly and helpful.
It was great stay. with warm welcome..... Will go again...

Good location for overnight stop.
Nice quiet rural town.
We were flower hunting and it was a perfect place to do that from. Even though the weather was against us, we still saw lovely flowers.
All surroundings even with little bit of flowers!!
It has a nice new OK mini market for buying groceries and a butcher and bottle store all right at the entrance to the town and two petrol stations. There is a well renowned succulent nursery in town and a nice coffee shop.
It is situated on the knersvlakte with unique biodiversity and incredible succulents and flowers.
I would like to retire in Vanrhynsdorp.
