Area Information:Situated on the Atlantic Ocean side of the Cape Peninsula, Pringle Bay is a unique and charming small coastal village nestled at the foot of the legendary Hangklip Mountain.
This exotic stretch of coastline is situated in a World Biosphere Reserve. (UNESCO) The Reserve area has been extended in March 2006- and now virtually encircles Pringle Bay. The whole area teems with wildlife and exquisite flora and is a key part of the Sixth Floral Kingdom of the planet. It is famous for its indigenous fynbos flora and houses more plant species per square metre than anywhere else on the planet. Pringle Bay is ideally suited to those who prefer outdoor living. Whale watching (during the whale season from June to December), walking, hiking, swimming, surfing and cycling are the sort of activities that can be enjoyed here. There is a lovely silver sandy beach, the walks, hikes, picnic spots and cycle routes in the Harold Porter Gardens and Kogelberg Reserve are spectacular. The Palmiet River is also a favourite for swimming or canoeing. Known also for its abundant sea life, this is where you can enjoy the fruits of the sea at your whim. The air is clean and unpolluted and the beaches pristine and sparkling. Pringle Bay is centrally located with Cape Town, Cape Town International Airport, Hermanus and the Cape Winelands all around a 60-90 minutes drive away. The Arabella and Kleinmond Golf Courses are less than 25 minutes drive away. Pringle Bay, nestled between mountain and ocean, is definitely a worthwhile holiday destination. The region can be approached from the Cape Peninsula by a coastal road carved from the sea cliffs from Gordon's Bay, through the Kogelberg Biosphere - the only one in South Africa.

Ideally situated between Pringle Bay and Betty's Bay, 3 min in either direction, provides ample exploring opportunities.
Beautiful location on the outskirts of Pringle Bay. Guesthouse very well appointed, the attention to detail by a most hospitable Katherina as hostess. She will go the extra mile to ensure your stay is exceptional. The guesthouse has a pre-booked Restaurant for dinner and if the menu is not to your taste, Katherina will cook something for you. Peaceful, warm and inviting. We will be back.
Katarina and her staff are amazing. Welcoming and a little sassy too. You feel like you are in a world apart with beautiful views from every clean, well appointed room. One of our crew's luggage was lost in transit. Nothing to worry about as Katarina was on the case. She got it all delivered that same day. Normally this is a 2-3 day ordeal at best.
We were there as part of a working group for the week. Excellent meals with varied selection and always a high quality of service. It was a pleasure.
Katharina was very friendly and accommodating. The guesthouse is so relaxing and beautifully situated. We had an amazing time and tasty food.
Fantastic location. Extremely clean and welcoming. Very professional. No disappointments at Kapensis - plenty hot water, tv, WiFi- everything worked. Katerina, our wonderful hostess and proprietor, pushed the boat out for us - nothing was too much trouble. We arrived quite late at night and were greeted by her smiling friendly face AND 2 extremely people friendly dogs! Loved our stay - great breakfast both mornings only wish we had taken advantage of lunch and dinner options. ♥️ re-visit on the cards.
We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay. It was a quick night away and I felt like I was at home. Katrina served my dinner in bed as I was not well, she gave me bath foam and a rubbing balm to help clear my chest, she just went above and beyond. Food was excellent. We will be back for another break.
Friendly reception, clean and neat accommodation - relaxing place to break away to charge you up again. Good food - lovely wines, definitely better than most guest houses we have stayed at. We will be back!
The ambiance of the guesthouse is very peaceful. Set in nature everything is quiet and yet the interior is very stylish and modern. Our hostess was very friendly and ensured that our stay was comfortable.
If you anyone wants a peaceful getaway, this is the place to go, such a warm welcome from Katherine, and her staff. The rooms are clean, and kept clean daily. Food is amazing and tasty. It's peaceful, romantic, totally out of this world. My hubby and I would recommended this amazing 4 star (which should be 6 star) to anyone... we will definitely be back.. To see spike... and Katherine... thank you so very much for everything.. See you soon.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, I loved the extra soft and comfy dressing robe. I could sit on the veranda and stare and the view for days! Katharina was incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. It truly is a special place.
