Gardens appears to lie cradled in the arms of Table Mountain. It is surrounded by the city, Lion's Head and the mountain making this popular suburb an easy one in which to base yourself when in Cape Town. Just over the ridge lies Camps Bay with its beautiful pristine beaches.
Gardens is perfectly placed to explore the rest of Cape Town and the hum of the city makes its presence felt here. The neighbourhood is quiet however, and tree-lined streets are wide and easy to walk. A car is almost unnecessary, as finding your way from Gardens is easy and, if you remain largely within the city, there is a good public transport network. We also provide tours and transfers should you require.
Kloof Street and Long Street is a quick walk from Gardens and known as the city's "restaurant mile". Browsing the bookshops and antique stores can be as much fun as the sidewalk cafes, which provide hours of entertainment as the ordinary and extraordinary, of every hue and culture, grace the streets.
