Kareekloof Game Farm is owned by Leon and Annalize. We bought the farm in 2001 as a raw piece of land and developed it. We are now 15 years in the hospitality industry and love to meet new people. We like to share our knowledge about the animals, trees and birds with our guests. We will do anything in our power to let our guests have an unforgettable good time at Kareekloof Game Farm (Our 9,4 rating can testify about that), Peace and tranquility is our motto. We are NOT a resort, and we are NOT a hotel. We are a farm stay destination. A real South African bushveld experience.
We are a countryside destination, where we offer the ideal breakaway from the stress and strain of city life.
We sell peace, quietness, and a bushveld experience.
Our accommodation is comfortable, clean and a place to relax in.

All our chalets or lodge rooms are self-catering. En-suite showers and toilets. Daily serviced. Our accommodation is neat, clean and comfortable. No TV's in the rooms, but full DSTV is in the public lounge for you to enjoy the whole stay. All accommodation is close to the outdoor swimming pool.
Area Information:The Derby bushveld stretches along the southern slopes of the Magalies Mountain range from Broederstroom in a westerly direction past Koster towards Swartruggens.
Our region forms the southern foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountain range and is therefore diverse in topography comprising beautiful hills, valleys, seasonal streams and natural springs.
This area teems with wildlife, with most mammals thriving here. Natural predators including leopard, brown hyena, caracal, serval etc. are spotted regularly.
Property Facilities:Kareekloof is not only a well known established game farm and lodge but also facilitates an unique conference and function venue in an idyllic setting at the foothills of the Magalies Mountain range in the North West Province Bushveld.
Kareekloof Wedding Venue offers exclusive wedding packages and tailor made catering.
Nature Drive (At an additional cost)
A game drive is so much more than to just see animals. We do have giraffes, zebras, eland, blue wildebeest, blesbok, impala, kudu, waterbuck and many more antelope on our 1000 ha game farm. The view is spectacular.
We host many species of game, birds, trees, and grass.
Do not misreckon the small wildlife like dun beetle, different kinds of insects, hogs and many more.
Bring your hiking shoes and mountain bike and enjoy our farm on foot or on the seat. Board games.

The reception and the hospitality by far exceeded my expectations. i enjoyed every minute i spent there and have even started to recommend the place to my friends because i intend returning back there very very soon,
The hosts are very friendly, and knowledgeable of the ecosystem and the general area. Great place to get away for some peace & quiet. Not too far to travel from Johannesburg. They also have great facilities for game hunting.

We enjoyed our self catering weekend with hiking and game drive. Seeing a rooikat for the first time and being able to be so close was a wonderful experience. My son enjoyed the farm animals that came to us.

The best place to experience Africa around Johannesburg.
We were welcomed as a family and greatly enjoyed the time on the farm. Annalise and Leon are the best hosts ever! The meals cooked for us were delicious.
I spent the weekend at Kareekloof with my wife and 4 young boys. It was such a pleasure getting away from technology and the big city to spend quality time with family in the tranquil surroundings. Annelize, Leon and their staff were friendly and hospitable, and went out of their way to make it memorable for us all. I would thoroughly recommend a trip to Kareekloof, my family and I will definitely be going back soon.

I liked the peace and quietness of the place, The hosts, Annalize and her husband were simply amazing, they catered for our every need. The property is well kept and the lack of WiFi is a blessing in disguise as it fosters bonding among the family.
