Enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the lagoon and the Indian Ocean, OR pour your sun-downers with your braai on the covered patio whilst admiring those views.
This lovely cottage, right on the water is as close to the lagoon as you are going to get. Situated at the very front of the property, edging the water, it is suitable for 1 family of 6. “The Boat house” and “The Flat” at 53 Nkwazi Drive are on the same property and share a pool. The Boat house offer direct lagoon and beach access. The property does not offer garages, but does have secure open parking. The property is secured by fencing, gates and beams which is serviced by armed response. All linen, towels and beach towels are supplied. The Boat house is serviced daily (no full time maid), this does not include laundry. Laundry for longer stays can be negotiate with staff onsite at an additional charge. All rooms have ceiling fans, hangers and built-in cupboards.There is a gas braai built-in on the veranda, we suggest you bring a Webber for braai-ing around the pool if you so wish. The large veranda at the front of The Boat house as well as the side veranda had splendid views and is furnished.The beautiful pool has undercover space with furniture, but no net. DSTV: an active card and decoder is supplied.
There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom.The Boat house contains the following: Upstairs: Open plan lounge,dining room and kitchen, which exits onto a large front and additional side veranda. Kitchen: microwave, stove, fridge/freezer, all cutlery and crockery. 2 Bedrooms and 1 split bathroom upstairs. The upstairs bedrooms have 1 double bed in the first room and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The upstairs bathroom is set up so that the shower, bath with basin and toilet can be used separate from one another. Downstairs there is a large bedroom which is independent from the main cottage, it has its own entrance and houses a king size bed and en-suite bathroom which has a toilet, basin and bath.
Whilst you cannot launch a boat off the property, you can moor in front of the property during the day, when the lagoon is full enough. To get onto the lagoon, you can launch at the communal launch site of which the access is situated near the village entrance. Should you wish to take a boat onto the lagoon, please arrange lagoon access at the ski-boat club on the beach as per their mandate, normal skippers rules apply to the use of boats, water ski’s or Jet Ski’s. To launch into the ocean you will use the main beach launch site, there is the only ocean launch site available, arrange with Ski-boat club, however note the driveway to this property is very steep and not suitable to take a boat down. Small children much be watched at all times around the edge of the lagoon and open pool.
MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS:Out of season: 2 nights.Mid-season: 2 – 5 nights. In-season: 5 to 7 nights. Peak season: A minimum of 14 nights during the peak time if you include Christmas and New Year. Alternatively: 10 nights leaving on the 27/12 OR 10 nights starting/arriving on the 28th or 29/12. Some owners only allow the 10 night split. Lesser stays before and after this period (minimum of 7 nights) will be considered once the primary booking is in place and confirmed.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES: Please inquire after amounts. Admin fee: once off. Maid levy, daily rate.Breakage deposit: 10% of the value of the accommodation charge, with a minimum of R2000, refundable if there are no breakages.
