This gorgeous cottage is perfectly suited to the atmosphere of Greyton. It is immaculately clean, the linen is of superior quality and the hostess is fabulous without invading your space. But what makes this place a real gem is all the little extra's that Adinda provides for you. For once you really get the feeling that the owner wants to make your stay as memorable and special as possible.

In Room Facilities:

This Greyton accommodation self-catering cottage is furnished in neutral tones and is equipped with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, that leads onto a wooden deck with garden and mountain views. Downstairs the kitchen is fully equipped and opens out onto a private garden with braai facilities where guests can have a braai next to a little stream.

Area Information:

Far from the madding crowd, some 1.5 hours from Cape Town in the sleepy Overberg, you'll find Greyton, a peaceful and picturesque village at the foot of the majestic Sonderend mountain range. Mighty oak trees, original thatched cottages, leafy lanes and breath-taking mountain views form the backdrop to this country gem that will enchant and delight you.
Marina Cottage is just one block away from the Main Street, just around the corner from the Saturday Morning Market and within easy walking distance to all restaurants and shops in Greyton.
Greyton is best explored on foot or bicycle รข?? preferably with a basket up front! The scenery is fabulous, the coffee shops tempting and the villagers friendly. No matter how appealing it is to limit oneself to a bit of gentle meandering, it would be a shame not to take the time to explore some of Greyton's outdoor activities whilst here.

Property Facilities:

Bedroom leads out onto a wooden deck with spectacular mountain views.
Clean linen, towels, coffee, tea, sugar, fresh fruit and little snacks are provided.
Fully equipped kitchen that opens out onto a private garden with braai facilities.
Carport for guest vehicles.
The cottage has an alarm system.

Attractions:

A hiker and mountain-biker's paradise, there are well-marked trails for every level of fitness and expertise. Greyton is the starting point for the famous one- or two-day Boesmanskloof trail more commonly known as the Greyton-McGregor trail and other activities include tennis, horse-riding, yoga and bowls. Golfers can enjoy a round at Caledon or Kleinmond.

Our stay at the Marina Cottage in Greyton was perfect. Adinda was a great host, with great attention to detail paid to everything in the cottage from the decor to the homemade scones. The garden is beautiful and super private, we could literally not even see another house. The cottage feels very secluded and safe. 10/10 would recommend.

Unable to make our booked date, Adinda accommodated us to change our date without hassle. The cottage has the perfect relaxed setting and is beautifully furnished. As a host Adinda treated us to carrot cake and scones and had all the necessities a guest could ask for, as well as personalized touches you cant begin to imagine. The deck was perfect for morning coffee and laying in the bath aided in a much needed rest. We'll be back to visit the beautiful small town and Marina Cottage soon.

It is a beautiful, quiet town where you can rest, reset and enjoy nature - but with really good coffee and great little shops :)
