The lovely Standard Single Rooms and Standard Double Rooms are equipped with telephones, TVs, fridges and coffee and tea facilities. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with toilets and showers. For a little more comfort, the Superior Rooms have air-conditioning and heaters. Some Superior Rooms also have balconies. Rooms can also be reserved with connecting doors, ideal for families or small groups.
Hotel Uhland's breakfast buffet is famous for the delicious fresh fruit salad, cheese and sausage platters, Namibian smoked meat, farm-made jam as well as a variety of bread and rolls. Fried or scrambled eggs and omelettes are prepared freshly on request and early departures can order a packed breakfast the day before. Tea and coffee is served in the afternoon. Dinner is on offer in the evenings, complimented with a variety of Namibian beers, South African wines and a selection of soft drinks.
Wifi is available for personal laptops or phones as well as a small library and book exchange. The cosy bar is situated in the open-thatch lapa and the splash pool provides a welcome relief from the hot afternoon sunshine.
An interesting part of the hotel's grounds is the spacious aviary with a variety of colourful love birds. The large trees also attract indigenous birds. Guests can visit the various museums, botanical garden or take a city tour, which will also lead you to the township, Katutura. For hiking trails, guests can visit the Aloe-Trail right in the city or the Dan Viljoen National Park, located 20 km outside the city.
