The town offers plenty of activities if you do decide to get out of bed. Take a walk to the nearby scenic Palmiet beach or go for a swim at the main beach with blue flag status. A lot of options await nature and outdoor lovers. Kleinmond is also perfectly situated to hop into your car and explore the surrounding wine areas such as the magical Elgin Valley, Botriver or the Hemel and Aarde Valley. Even Hermanus, the premier spot for land based whale watching in the world, is just 20 minutes away.
Take a slow stroll through Harbour Road for gift shopping and a variety of restaurants and cafes. Unwind on two stunning beaches or go swimming or canoeing in the lagoon or the beautiful Palmiet river. Go fishing, go bird- or whale watching. Go find the legendary wild, feral horses in the Rooisand Reserve. Or how about a round of golf? The course at Kleinmond offers breathtaking mountain and sea views and the luxury Arabella Country Estate is just a short drive away.
The fastest route to Kleinmond from Cape Town is via the N2, approximately a 90 minute drive. But the most scenic route is the R44, known as Clarence Drive. It twists and turns, hugging the coastline and offers spectacular views. Definitely worth the experience!

Reviews
Best holiday, amazing place. Service is top notch but not in your face. Our hosts were the best I have ever had. Some hotels could take notes on how service should be. The room was spotless, well set up, nothing was left to chance. Breakfast was included in our stay, served to us in our room at requested time. Delicious! Local knowledge shared for places to go etc... Thank you for an amazing stay, Kleinmond is a gem. Fully rested and wine rack stocked and ready to take on this year.

Kleinmond Reviews
I love the relaxed small beach town feel of Kleinmond. The combination of a lovely beach and lagoon along with a great beach path walk and the shopping harbour is a perfect weekend getaway. Would love to explore more in future.

Local pub and restaurants.
Just enough activities so that it gives the feeling of a holiday destination but developed enough to cater for most needs.
Kleinmond is a beautiful and serene place. A true gem on the Cape Whale Coast
