Guests are often thrilled with unbelievably close and personal encounters! For the avid birdwatcher, abundant species and a wide variety of Bushveld Birds are spotted from the comfort of one’s own verandah. Most commonly seen are Hornbills, Starlings, Boubou’s, Shrikes and Woodpeckers to name but a few. The tranquil atmosphere at the Lodge allows for unique birding opportunities as man slows down, finding the rhythm of nature and begins to truly observe.

With the absence of artificial light, the stargazing at Royale Marlothi Safari Lodge is phenomenal and amongst the best in Southern Africa. How better to end a blissful day but to sit reflecting under the star studded-canopy of African skies, the vastness of infinite galaxies stretching before one. We went down for my husbands birthday in Feb, what an awesome experience. Friendly, efficient staff, easy booking, super clean rooms nd and facilities and the occasional visits from the wildlife. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and city life and just be submerged in nature and peaceful quiet.
My family and I will be going back before the year ends...

I cannot fault Royale Marlothi Safari Park! Comfortable and well appointed rooms. Good quality pillows and linen. The lodge is quiet and my kids loved the little splash pool :-) We were lucky enough that while we were eating lunch outside on the Saturday, a family of around 5-7 giraffes grazed within walking distance from us. What a magical sight!
