Our Glamping tents have all the comforts for an enjoyable stay. The six self-catering tents are situated in a small Indigenous forest on Fernhill Guest Farm. Each tent has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with spa-bath overlooking the forest.
Double Tented Treehouse - The double tents are on one level with the kitchenette unit inside the tent and a braai (Charcoal only) outside on the deck with seating. The Kitchenette is equipped with Smal Fridge, Microwave, Induction cooker, all cutlery, crockery & Cooking Utensils. Each tent also has an Electric blanket, Fan, Heater ad coffee station in the tent with a full bathroom with spa bath and shower over bath.
Family Tented Treehouse - The Family tent is on three levels with an open deck with seating on the lowest level, the room below the deck has bunk beds and the kitchenette. The Kitchenette is equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, induction cooker, all cutlery, crockery & cooking utensils. The tent with the main bedroom is upstairs with the Kingsize bed and coffee station. Each tent also has an Electric blanket, Fan, Heater ad coffee station in the tent with a full bathroom with spa bath and shower over bath. The braai area (Charcoal only) is next to the tent. Please note that this tent has steep stairs and not recommended for small children.
Tented Treehouse with Sleeper Couch- The main tent upstairs has a Kingsize bed and sleeper couch with coffee station and seating on the deck. The Kitchenette is under the tent with Microwave, Induction Cooker and Full Fridge Freezer as well as a dining area. The kitchenette has all crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. Each tent also has an Electric blanket, Fan, Heater ad coffee station in the tent with a full bathroom with spa bath and shower over bath. The braai area (Charcoal only) is next to the tent.
This is truly a romantic getaway, the decks outside are the perfect spot to take in all the forest sounds around you.

Friendly and helpful host. Brought me some fresh milk from their cows. Quiet and serene location among the trees on a working farm. Fifteen minute drive to Knysna if you need to pick up any goodies.
Took a shortleft from Mosselbay to reflect and refresh in the new year and WOW, what a place to do that in the middle of nature, with the sound of birds in the background.
We enjoyed the rainy day and amazing view of the sky at night. Haven't seen so many stars in a while.
We will definitely come back!

A magical week-end away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We were entertained by the curious monkeys and enjoyed our time with Cocoa and Baby. A highlight was our new friend, Pixie!
The fresh milk and brownies were a very thoughtful extra and we truly enjoyed every moment of our stay!

A little slice of heaven. A wonderful getaway for the two of us after an extremely difficult and challenging year.
So nice to wake up to the sunrise coming through our doors and the light shining through the forest, trees and birds in full view from this spectacular balcony view.
Loved the unpasteurized milk and chocolate brownies, such a nice welcome and gesture from Fernhill owners.
A relaxing and adventurous (Drupkelders) hike ended off our memorable holiday.

What a special place to spend a few days to say goodbye to 2020 and to quietly welcome in 2021.
The surrounding area allows one to chill and get in touch with nature.
We are leaving here totally refreshed and looking forward to a New Year with challenges, but a lot less stress!

Baie dankie vir die ongelooflike tyd wat ons kon geniet hier by julle.
Ons het so nodig gehad om tyd in die oë te kyk aan die einde van 2020, te besin oor wat was en oor wat voorlê. Die stilte en rus was vir ons so verfrissend. Die tyd as egpaar, weg van alles, was brood nodig. Die staproete was asemrowend mooi. Die nag se geluide wat ons elke aand aan die slaap gesus het was kos vir die siel. Om op die "deck" te kon sit, met 'n koffie en die sonsondergang het ons dag perfek afgesluit. Dankie dat julle plek vir ons tyd van lag, goeie herinneringe en rus gebring het. Bo ons verwagting!! A truly beautiful place! We stayed in Tent 6, nestled in the forest on a gentle slope. The tent is perfectly kitted out for a comfortable, easy stay. The bed is huge and super comfy, and the bath might be my favourite in the world. We saw a monkey procession from the balcony, fireflies around the tent at night, and many many birds in the surrounding trees. A peaceful, relaxing getaway with very welcoming hosts, highly recommended!
What a lovely place to spend our 18th aniversary at! The perfect glamping spot! So close to nature, yet all the comfort one needs. We really had fun braaing and we love the large stoep where one can enjoy the indigenous Swarthout Forest. We enjoyed the hiking trail, but got lost on a few occasions :-)
We will definitely be back!
