Welcome to Edelweiss Guesthouse is conveniently situated in Gariepdam. We're a few minutes away from the N1 between Gauteng, the Western Cape, and the Eastern Cape.

Gariepdam is a safe small town on the border of the Eastern Cape and the Free State.
We have secure parking behind locked gates as well as a limited number of caravan parking spaces available.

With prior arrangements, we're happy to provide facilities for pets.

Not only are we on the main route from Gauteng to the Western Cape (including Cape Town and the Garden Route), we're also ideally situated for journeys to and from Port Elizabeth and the Eastern Cape.
In Gariepdam we're conveniently located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and bars as well as a short drive away from the historic Dam wall.

It was good
Excellent value for money
No soap, except liquid hand soap.
Otherwise clean.
Although no fault of the owner, had no water on the day of departure. No doubt a municipal issue.

For the past 5 years we have stayed over at Edelweiss, either going down to Mosselbaai or the Grahamstown Arts Festival.
Debbie always goes out of her way to make our stay a memorable one. The accommodation is very clean, safe and quiet.
We loved it. Host was very nice, rooms were clean, showers great and will recommend to anyone.

Grab something to eat at Quenna Bistro Gariep, very nice food at very affordable prices.
The place is clean and neat

Hotel on the hill for early dinner with a view.
It was a great stop over point en route to the garden route - I don't know of anything to do there other than look at the dam.
