Situated about 2km from the CBD of Upington, it offers bed and breakfast accommodation and 2 self-catering flats. Bordered by an expansive park on the one side and an irrigation canal - hence its name, “Aan’t Kanaal” - it also overlooks the renowned vineyards of the Green Kalahari. Here the tranquil atmosphere is enhanced by the song of indigenous birdlife.
After a taxing day at work or on the road, an ice-cold drink beside the large swimming pool will revive your flailing spirit. Come and relax in the homely atmosphere created at Aan’t Kanaal. Whether business or pleasure brings you here, you are assured of superior hospitality in these serene surrounds.
The two en suite bedrooms and 2 self-catering flats are fitted with split-unit air conditioners, a necessity for our hot summers and cold winter nights. Families are welcome, although small children must be supervised at all times.

Great weather. Stayed at Modern Executive Apartment in Schröder street. Beautiful, peaceful and safe place. I enjoyed the friendly people of Upington and the nice restaurants. Mr D also delivered promptly. Will be back again.
Has everything you'd need to top up or get on your way to Namibia, Botswana, or the far west coast. Amazing stat-over options, and amazing people.

The people seem friendlier and more polite than the city folks. The atmosphere seems relatively low-stressed.
Great mall and friendly people in Upington.
Upington is one of my favorite towns in South Africa. It is pristine, clean, people are friendly and helpful. Lots of things to do. Plenty accommodation to choose from. A perfect stop-over to and from Namibia.
Good to visit my birth town and see the growth.
