There is nothing quite like escaping to the unspoilt splendour of the Highveld, far away from the city hustle and bustle. Riverman Cabin Country lodge is situated in the Tonteldoos Valley, 25 km northeast of Dullstroom, which is only two and a half hours' drive from Johannesburg. It is the is the perfect retreat for couples in need of a romantic weekend getaway, family gatherings or just an escape from city life, with no cellular reception and limited Wi-Fi near the cabins, you can be sure to reconnect with Nature, family and loved ones.
Each one of our 7 cottages and cabins located throughout the farm are rustically elegant and charming, decorated in a unique style with cozy indoor fireplaces as well as private external braai areas and a complimentary wood stock for your first night’s stay. Fully furnished and equipped for a homely self-catering experience and perfect for a couple, families, friends and group bookings. We can accommodate a total of 28 Guests.
Explore the farm on foot or Bicycle and take some time to appreciate the captivating beauty of your surroundings. Get out the sunscreen, put on some walking shoes and discover our wattle walk through the woods and some secret trails throughout the farm.
Enjoy fishing in our well stocked Trout dam or Bass Pond or strike a few Golf balls on our Driving range. Settle down to an evening under the starts in complete serenity around the fire and wake to a cup of Coffee on the stoep watching the sun rise. Our Chapel doors are open for those that would like a private moment and a prayer.

We spent nine nights at the Brown Cabin In September 2018. We found the accommodation very well equipped. Everything you need for an extended stay was provided. Percy and Karin really went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable! This was my first time fly fishing and I caught 13 Rainbow trout in spite of very windy conditions. This is proof that this venue lends itself perfectly to beginner fly fishermen or a place to start of children in the art of fly fishing. Some of the dams are more challenging for the experienced fishermen or women. I have only one gripe: Percy ignored all my offers to buy the Dover stove! We will be back! Thanks for a lovely nine days!

Went there in 2019, rustic, but excellent in every respect.
Immediately booked a return trip in January 2020 & Covid arrived.
Had paid a deposit, & when I now booked for December 2021, the owner, Yolanda, said they were still holding my deposit, nearly 2 years later!
