Thatched roof, open-plan layout
Separately set in the beautiful garden of the main property of hosts, Rob & Cher Graham
Comfortable queen - size bed with mosquito net
Linen and towels provided
Old - fashioned wood burning Dover stove fireplace
Electric blanket and heater in winter
Cosy sitting area with good lighting
A well - equipped kitchenette with microwave and stove with oven
Bathroom with bath but no shower
A sheltered outdoor shower in the garden with hot water is available for guest use
No TV but a good CD player and a selection of CD's
Free Wi - fi available
Shady nooks in the garden for relaxing, reading or some entertaining bird watching
Swimming pool
There is no shortage of places to visit in and around McGregor, however if complete rest is the order of the day, stay in and braai in the secluded open braai area, or weber on the patio (Please bring your own charcoal or briquettes)
Please note that if you are self catering, it is recommended that you shop before arriving in McGregor. Alternatively quality deli products, home bakes,and frozen meals are available during normal business hours from Made in McGregor and 51 in the village

Rob and Cher were very lovely people who live on the property. Its a cute and pretty studio/ large room in a very convenient location; with a shared garden.There is a bath only, but no hand shower so I found it difficult to wash my hair. I would also suggest side lamps for the night as well
The Karoo cottage was a perfect stop-over for us in the quaint village of McGregor. The cottage is well equipped and decorated with charming antiques and fascinating trinkets. Rob and Cher are friendly hosts and even kindly gave us a boot-load of aloes and cuttings from their lovely succulent garden.

Very relaxing.
Peaceful & quiet town set among beautiful scenery! Best for weekend visits! Tabaldi's restaurant at Temenos Retreat is a must for delicious food and fine dining.
McGregor is very very quiet midweek, would like to visit again at the weekend to see if it comes alive.
Enough good food and wine to enjoy without being commercialized and touristy. Enjoyed the countryside and being “away from it all”.
