Karoo Lodge is situated on Route 62 in Barrydale. A genuine Karoo experience, and conveniently a destination stop over for weary travellers. All our rooms are en-suite, with free Wi-Fi in communal areas and includes breakfast. Two of the rooms at the lodge has been equipped for the wheelchair-bound holidaymaker.
In Room Facilities:Our rooms are equipped with either single/king size beds, en-suite bathroom (shower only) except for two of our rooms have shower-in-bath facilities, a coffee station and fan. For your sleeping comfort we provide pure cotton percale linen and pure cotton bath towels.
Area Information:The lodge is conveniently located on Route 62 which also happens to be in walking distance of all restaurants as well as the villages' CBD. Barrydale has only one grocer which is OK Foods as in small towns they close at six in the evening and only trade until one on a Saturday, apart from the restaurants no other place trades on a Sunday. For those avid hikers ask us about the beautiful hiking trail to the waterfalls, ask about the pools in the Tradouw's Pass and swimming in the river.
Property Facilities:We have a lovely Courtyard which is our designated smoking area with a splash pool, guests can lounge at the pool or laze on the couches, soak up the sun and opt for having their breakfast served outdoors. Our communal living area is intimate with oversized leather couches, a large fireplace. Guests have access to free Wi-Fi in communal areas, there is a Biltong Shop onsite as well as Die Windpomp Restaurant that trades until 16h00 every day.
Attractions:Barrydale is an interesting town, like a diamond with many facets there is an eclectic mix of people that make up the community. We have talented hand weavers and wine makers as well as artists in the village. There are some great hiking trails, if you want to really feel like a part of the town don't miss out on Friday nights at the Barrydale Recreation Club where Bowls are played and afterwards some beer and banter, see our people in their element. Drop in at Barrydale Cellar the Klein Karoo is the home of the legendary brandy empire of Joseph Barry, who also gave Barrydale its name, you truly cannot leave Barrydale without enjoying a afternoon of tasting at the cellar.

Reviews
What a lovely establishment and experience. One tends to drive through small towns like Barrydale without taking note of what it has to offer, but Barrydale Karoo Lodge is worthwhile popping into for an overnight experience.
The rooms are well kept, clean and spacious. The breakfast was lovely.

Small beautiful country town!
Nature at its best. Lovely and friendly people who makes your visit all the better!
Milkshakes at Diesel and Cream!
A great place with a nice old school feel you don't get much anymore, Diesel and Cream and Blue Cow are 2 must stops for all! 👌
Beautiful town with an eclectic, diverse population.
Beautiful little town, close enough to Cape Town for a weekend getaway. Lots of quaint little shops and restaurants to keep you busy, but also allows you to just relax and recharge.
Very popular stop on Route 62, you won’t be disappointed!
Diesel and Creme always worth a visit and the local brewery is also a great spot. The Tradouws pass itself is amazingly beautiful and worth a visit for a picnic and a swim.
Diesel and Crème Vintage Restaurant, the vibe and the droëwors!
Food
We enjoyed exploring the beautiful town admiring the houses and amazing walls.
Then had a drink at the Karoo Art Hotel which is absolutely amazing with very friendly staff who are so proud of the hotel. We will be back for another visit.
