Welcome to The Blades.
The Blades is an exclusive 4 star hotel situated on a 10 hectare expanse of untamed Bushveld.
Built on the banks of the Roodeplaat Dam, we offer a unique combination of indigenous vegetation, landscaping and water-front luxury.
The Blades is conveniently situated just 20 minutes from Pretoria and OR Tambo International and 45 minutes from Johannesburg, making it an accessible destination to both local and international guests.
The Blades Hotel has a wide variety of room types on offer. All 46 of these rooms(96 beds) boast breath-taking views of the Bushveld or Roodeplaat Dam. With a choice of Executive Suites, Family Rooms, or Double/ Twin Luxury Rooms, all requirements can be catered for. Central fireplaces in our Executive Suites add to the romantic ambience.
Seven conference rooms are available seating 2 to 400 people respectively. Included is a data projector, whiteboard, flipchart, notepad and pens, sweets and water.
The Blades upper deck and restaurant can seat up to 120 guests. Both the upper deck and restaurant boast gorgeous views of Roodeplaat Dam, lush green lawns and indigenous bushveld. Exquisite sunsets provide an ideal backdrop to enjoy an afternoon cocktail or simply sit back, relax and take in the sounds of nature.
Our Chefs have created an exclusive menu with a small selection of signature dishes. Our success lies in the simplicity of our cuisine. All our dishes are lovingly prepared, using the freshest of ingredients. Whenever possible we use organic herbs and vegetables grown in our own gardens. We are Halaal friendly – strict Halaal and kosher meals need to be requested 72hours in advance.

Lush green lawns are the perfect place to enjoy a picnic, daydreaming by the water's edge, or trying to identify the myriad of water birds that visit The Blades Hotel.
The bar and lounge with genuine Olympic memorabilia combines a tranquil water feel with a hint of regatta ambience.

I had a memorable stay!!
Peaceful, neat and very nice. I wouldn't mind visiting over and over again. Sound of the bushes and Privacy that I liked.

The bedroom is the best, with a bath facing a fireplace and a cozy bed.
The view from The Executive Suite is amazing. Very tranquil and it's perfect for a romantic get away. The wood was ready in the room for the fire place. The linen was snow white and clean. The king size bed was very comfy and the bathroom amenities were also spotless. There was everything we needed! Hair dryer, matches for the fire place, sufficient lighting to get ready for the wedding, soft clean white towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand cream, all the different plugs for the different appliances. I cannot fault The Blades. Staff at reception and at the breakfast area were super friendly and helpful. All smiles and great service! Great breakfast as well.

Very peaceful and quiet. Friendly staff.
I went there with my wife for her birthday on 30 January 2022 to 1 February 2022.. We enjoyed Hiking, Massages, Jacuzzi, Peaceful Garden and their service was very amazing. Definitely we come back.
The shopping centers are nearer to the place and very convenient.

We checked in on the 6 July 2019, and we enjoyed everything … from food, massages, their service is the best ever. We will definately visit Malibu Country Lodge again. Keep up your good service.
