Wild Olive Tree Camp  Verified Listing

Right on the border of the Kruger National Park at the Orpen and Manyelti Gate a unique project has been established. A luxury tented camp with 15 large cottage tents built and operated by the Mnisi community will give you the ultimate African rural experience.

Whilst you listen to the elders telling their stories at the campfire, in the distance you can hear the cow bells of the cattle returning home signaling the end of the day and at the same time hear the hyena calling and the lion roaring telling you that the wilderness has woken up.

The camp is managed by English/Africaans/Dutch speaking staff.

Property Facilities:
We provide breakfast and diner and provide you with one or two game drives per day into the Manyeleti section of the Kruger Park, but if you wish to explore the Kruger Park (through the Orpen Gate) with your own vehicle then you are most welcome as well. We cater for both types of guests.
Children are most welcome. Note:Camp Admin Fee applicable with
cancellations of all prepaid bookings.

Area Information:
The setting is in dense bush what is teaming with birdlife, but as the camp is fenced of from the big 5 area, non of this wildlife is resident on the camp facilities (leopard can be the exception)

In Room Facilities:
The Wild Olive Tree Camp comprises of 15 luxury cottage tents with en-suite bathrooms. The bathrooms have hot and cold water, but the tents have no electricity. It furthermore has a large boma-restaurant area situated on a meandering dry river bed.

Attractions:
You can go on a game drive in the forgotten section of the Kruger National Park, the Manyeleti! A pearl amongst the famous game reserves in South Africa, possibly with the highest game density compared to any other section. Black and white rhino, lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, wild dogs and the spectacular large herds of buffalo.
