Uitzicht Private Game Reserve and Lodge is a private game reserve situated in the picturesque Eastern Free State, situated 350 kilometers from Johannesburg and just 12 kilometers outside Fouriesburg. The lodge has incredible views over the Maluti Mountains and hosts over 16 different wildlife species.
The lodge offers accommodation facilities ranging from self-catering units to luxury rooms. At the main lodge there is a bar area overlooking a swimming pool and Lapa. This area has breath-taking views of the Maluti Mountain range.
The game lodge also offers a wedding and conference venue. This modern venue hall can cater up to 160 wedding guests and 120 guests for a conference. There are nature hikes around the farm, where guests can choose between 2 hiking trails of either 18 kilometers and or 9 kilometers, which offers excellent views.

Uitzicht has been nothing but exceptional. The accommodation is beautiful, the views incredible, hiking on the property amazing, warmth and an a 'family' reception from our hosts outstanding. Wow, just wow. I've travelled extensively and Uitzicht is one of my new favourite places. If you're looking for something special to share with friends or as a romantic getaway, this is the place!!

A must!! We had our first family holiday for my mothers 60th 22 people and we all absolutely loved it. Hannes and Magda are amazing hosts they did everything to make sure we were all happy and taken care of. The rooms are amazing. I even told the them they need to get better pictures taken as it’s so much better in real life. The pool and night time bonfires was our favorite!
Uitzicht Game Lodge is one of the best game lodges I have visited around in Africa. We went there an stayed in "Blesbok" for the long weekend in September. A lot of detail went in building the place, and you will find everything in there to suit your holiday. The unit was well furnished with everything you would need. The place is situated on the banks of the hills, proving some breath taking views standing on the balcony.
David, who is the manager of the farm, is one of the nicest guys around who enjoys his job and goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The farm also offers game drives, which is surely not to be missed. For me and all of us in the group, it was one of the best game drives we had been on, exploring the huge farm and watching all the game in close.
In Uitzicht Game Lodge and thanks to David, we experienced a jewel in the Free State.
