Swellendam is the 3rd oldest town in the Republic of South Africa, a town with 17,537 inhabitants situated in the Western Cape province. The town has over 50 provincial heritage sites most of them buildings of Cape Dutch architecture. Swellendam is situated on the N2, approximately 220 km from both Cape Town and George.

The cottages has bedding, extra blankets, towels and ablution facilities. Cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and assorted kitchen accessories is provides to ensure a comfortable self catering stay. The dormitory and camp sites has access to a fully equipped kitchen. We provide free ice on request.
The pine plantation and natural fynbos veld is perfect for easy strolls, jogging or mountain bike riding. Pick and choose amongst the tracks and trails. Bird watching is easy in the indigenous gardens. The natural veld is great for finding flowers in season. There is a secluded irrigation dam fit for swimming if splashing in a mountain stream is not your thing. At the end of the fields down a narrow path there is a pool in the river, cool, shaded and quiet. Ask about the very popular pirate safari/sundowner combo, you want to do this!
