Flametree Guesthouse offers the best value for money in the village of Swellendam by far.

Flametree Guesthouse is a lovely decorated home with character and crisp clean rooms. Flametree is located very central in a peaceful area, walking distance from various tourist attractions, restaurants and activities. With a shuttle service on call, guests can enjoy their evening out without a problem of returning safely.
The courtyard garden with it's splash pool is a lovely attraction for guests to enjoy in privacy.
In Room Facilities:All rooms are well maintained, private on-suite rooms.
Rooms are up to the prescribed 3 star rating standards of the South African Tourism Grading Council. All rooms have TV sets with Satellite TV facility. Coffee and tea station in all rooms are included in room rate.
Swellendam is next to the N2, halfway between Cape Town and George, on the Garden Route.
The town has many tourist attractions that can be enjoyed while staying in town.
With a offer of 3 Nature reserves on our door step. Museums, Historical buildings, Mountain hiking routes, Golf, Fishing, Whale watching at its best, etc.

The outside lounge and barbeque facility lends itself to peaceful lingering on a magazine or a lovely get together with family or friends. It can include an arranged braai or snack platters and a glass of wine.
This facility includes on site, undercover parking, free wifi and a hearty breakfast.
Attractions in the Swellendam area include: Drostdy Museum, Berry farm with liqueur tasting, De Hoop nature reserve for whale watching, Scenic wine route in the area, Wine tasting and restaurants, Mountain hiking trips, Tredouw pass to Barrydale. "Grootvadersbosch" Nature reserve for day trips, bird watching and hiking.

Very comfortable, clean and affordable accommodation. Excellent breakfast served by our hostess at an early hour...we had to attend a cycle race.

I enjoyed Aan De Eike Guesthouse, My room were clean and the service were excellent.I felt very safe enjoyed every moment since I arrived. Swellendam is beautiful with most beautiful views. The location was very convenient and would recommend The Republican Restaurant. The food and vibe were awesome. It's safe to walk in Swellendam, what a beautiful place for entertainment
Historical information and value
Scenery, the residents, the roads are in great condition (compared to many many many other towns/cities in SA).
Wildebraam Estate. Friendly people. No traffic. Has all the shops and places one needs.
