A beautifully restored Victorian house. One of the first houses built in Darling (1890).
Accommodation consists of three double bedrooms - two with twin beds and one with a double bed. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The rooms each have a private entrance from a veranda.
Guests are encouraged to use all facilities in the house. There is a communal, large flat screen TV in the lounge. Off road secure parking for all. There is a large stoep with a built-in braai. It’s a great place to eat breakfast.
There is also a self catering apartment with all mod-cons. There are two beds in the bedroom. There is a built-in braai on the stoep. The pool is very inviting during the hot summer days.
We are 300 meters from the main road and all the shops it offers. There is a very well stocked SPAR (local grocery store), and an old fashioned family butchery farther on in town. Springtime means the flower start blooming, and the wild flower show is not to be missed. Five nearby wineries offer tasting of top quality wines.

Very good host , make you feel at Home and go out of their way for their guests
The Hosts were so accommodating and friendly. Comfortable beds, had a good nights sleep and great shower. Would definitely visit again.

Alle bezochte adressen bevielen goed. Maar Pat en Haar man Bobby maken het verschil. Hun B&B was de enige waar de eigenaren bij het ontbijt aanschoven. Het lijkt een klein gebaar, maar het maakt dat je je echt thuisvoelt.
All the addresses visited went well. But Pat and Her husband Bobby make the difference. Their B&B was the only one where the owners joined for breakfast. It seems like a small gesture, but it really makes you feel at home.

Pat and Bobby are the most welcoming, friendly couple with all the best attributes for a BnB. Really enjoyed our stay.

My family had a fabulous time at Doornfontein, my kids liked the fact that they had there own private pool, great hospitality from Amanda and husband. Kids when quad bike riding, saw animals. It was adventurous for our family. Arendse family.

We fell in love with this beautiful gem! Definitely a must visit town!
