Grassroots Bed and Breakfast rests in the leafy suburb of Everton. Just 20 min away from Durban, our bed and breakfast is perfect for families wanting to enjoy all the amenities that Durban has to offer, but also want to escape the heat and humidity that Durban is well known for.
Our bed and breakfast is perfect for families, visitors can enjoy sunbathing about the pool while children can enjoy playing on extended gardens, all viewable from the elegant accommodation. And being that we are situated in the Valley of 1000 Hills, there is much to explore and do without ever having to go into Durban.
Grassroots Bed & Breakfast has three rooms and one self catering unit, each outfitted with en suite facilities (bath and shower). The rooms all have double beds, and large sliding doors open up onto the beautiful lawns ensuring privacy.
We welcome business travellers regularly since Grassroots Bed and Breakfast is situated midway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, and only 30 min from King Shaka International Airport (Durban is situated 20 min from the airport). Business travellers will enjoy the quiet surroundings (perfect for catching up on work), and our wifi is free. And of course we are situated just 10 minutes from Hillcrest which is home to a number of fantastic restaurants.
Guests can enjoy a full English or continental breakfast whilst enjoying the peacefulness that Gillits is known for. For the lucky few, Vervet Monkeys will keep guests entertained with their antics as they play on the lawn whilst moving through their home ranges.
