Nolangeni Hotel is newly refurbished and is currently the only hotel situated in the historic town of Kokstad. The ideal stop over for company representatives and small groups travelling in the area.
Kokstad is a town in the Sisonke District of KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. Kokstad is named after the Griqua chief Adam Kok III who settled there in 1863. Kokstad is built on the outer slopes of the Drakensberg and is 1,302 meters above sea level. Behind it, Mount Currie rises to a height of 2,224 meters.
This South Western tip of KwaZulu-Natal is the southern gateway to the entire KwaZulu-Natal midlands and Eastern Cape including The Wild Coast. The location is cradled by the mighty Drakensberg, the Nungi and Ingeli Mountains, and characterized by numerous rivers and streams, wide open spaces and unspoilt valleys, covering an area of 4000 square kilometers. The diverse and interesting fauna, flora and geographical features of the region, and the sweeping panoramic views, make this area the unspoilt jewel of the province.
Nolangeni Hotel offers 24-hour reception with 40 tastefully decorated, spacious en-suite rooms with either a bath or shower. Guests have a choice between king, double, or twin beds. All cottage-style rooms are furnished stylishly with modern fittings. All the bedrooms have TV’s with the choice of ten DStv channels, tea and coffee making facilities and telephones. A safe is available at reception for valuables.

Friendly staff, clean rooms . The food is👌from breakfast to dinner. The staff is very warm and helpful, they make sure toy get value for your money with your lunch packs. Thank you guys for such a great stay, really make the place a home away from home 🥰
A very welcoming hotel, accommodating individual needs. Friendly staff at the reception and restaurant. Meals are superb from breakfast to dinner. Their lunch packs are nicely packaged and are reasonable priced while having all you could need. I'd like to appreciate the friendly staff, they make the place very warm. Oh the rooms are nice and clean with electric blankets to keep you warm in cold weather. Lindelwa and Zandi are my exceptional stars - very sweet and kind. I love you guys, you make the place a home away from home. To the chefs - we can't see you guys but your nicely prepared meals for breakfast and dinner tell it all about you - profs👌. Thank you🥰🤗
The hospitality was great. The staff was kind and hospitable. The food was great.
The hotel's restaurant offers a good choice of meals at extremely reasonable prices.
With the limited dinner options in Kokstad we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, cosy atmosphere (with fireplace) reasonable prices and great food.
Breakfast and lunch will probably also be a good choice.
Was working in Kokstad from 22 to 24 March 2017 I slept at Nolangeni Hotel. I must say the staff is friendly, rooms are very neat and clean...oh the food was my best part..... just want to say thank you to the management.
I must admit that when I drove into the parking lot that I thought the hotel was going to be dodgy.
The rooms are very spacious although the ensuite was very small.
The breakfast buffet range was very good.
Decent enough for a business stop over.
The hotel pub was very festive.
