On its own private sanctuary on the edge of the Greater Kruger National Park, pathways wind through the forest over low bridges, revealing verdant glades and secret nooks that beg you to stay awhile and watch the endless dance of light and shade as the sunlight is dappled through a million leaves.
Blending perfectly into this tranquil environment the lodge reveals itself at every turn, spread out on either side of a small, seasonal stream. Antelope and other wildlife species move silently through this haven, sharing their space if only for a brief moment. Sparkling swimming pools offer respite from the African sun and shady nooks and crannies provide intimate interludes in the wild tapestry that surrounds them.

Bundox Safari Lodge is located close to Hoedspruit, Limpopo Province, and about 40km from the world-famous Kruger National Park.
In Room Facilities:Luxe Safari Tents
Four beautiful canvas suites with twin beds, wooden floors and flowing, open decks overlooking the surrounding bush. Each has its own en-suite bathroom with an indoor shower, toilet, basin and complimentary amenities. There is also a tea and coffee station, hanging space for clothing and a standing fan in each tent.
Safari Tents
Two spacious Meru-style canvas suites with twin beds, wooden floors and open decks, each with its own en-suite bathroom with an indoor bathtub, outdoor shower, toilet, basin and complimentary amenities. A tea and coffee station, standing fan, hanging space for clothing and private boma area complete the facilities on offer.
Superior Tent
A stunning tented suite with a fabulous king-size bed, its own private bathroom with an outside shower, wonderful bathtub, his and her basins and the most beautiful deck overlooking the bush featuring a separate, intimate sala with a comfortable day bed. Complete with tea and coffee station, standing fan and hanging space for clothing.
Rhino Tented Suite
A new light and airy canvas-infused chalet with a wonderful king-sized bed, lots of space and its own outdoor bathroom with a wonderful bathtub and separate shower. With his and hers basins and lots of gorgeous deck space as well as an intimate sala with an inviting day bed and private boma, there is also a tea and coffee station, standing fan and hanging space for clothing.
Buffalo Chalet
A two-bedroom offering for families that includes two self-standing rooms with a shared boma area. One room has a king-size bed and a day bed, the other has twin beds. Each has its own en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, single basin and complimentary amenities as well as a tea and coffee station, standing fan and hanging space for clothing.

Family Chalet Buffalo are self-standing units with boma and a shaded verandah. The main chalet with en-suite bathroom (indoor shower), complimentary amenities and a fan. The second chalet is suitable for children with an en-suite bathroom (indoor shower), complimentary amenities and a fan.
Chalet Rhino with en-suite bathroom (outdoor bathtub and inside/outdoor shower), complimentary amenities, shaded verandah with day bed and fan. Perfect for a honeymoon!
Area Information:Bundox Retreat and Spa are situated +-5 hours from Johannesburg/Pretoria.
We are 25 minutes from the town of Hoedspruit and 40 minutes from the Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park. There are daily flights to Hoedspruit from Johannesburg, with connections to Cape Town - www.flysaa.com or www.cemair.co.za

What a gem! I am so glad I came across this place when searching for a getaway for myself and my husband to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We stayed in the superior tent which is beautiful and an experience on its own. We did a few add on experiences - a picnic, bush walk and PM game drive and loved every moment of it. If you are looking for an unforgettable bush experience Bundox is the place to go! They are also pretty close to Blyde River Canyon which is a breathtaking sight. Thank you Bundox team for taking care of us, we hope to visit again soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Bundox team was extremely friendly and helpful. We were fortunate to spot a greater bushbaby and genet while staying there. The spa service was as great as the beautiful bushview from it. Activities in the area like: flying leasosn at leading edge flight school, reptile park, franklyn park (hiking) and moholoholo were truly worthwhile and further ensured a unforgettable holiday. We think it wold be ideal for grouos up to 8 aswell.

We just want to thank everyone at Bundox for making our Anniversary sooo special. All the staff was so friendly and helpful and we were spoiled beyond our expectations. Staff was very professional and attended to all our needs. We stayed at the luxury tent. Wow what a lekker spot!! The bathroom was my favorite. Beautiful bath overlooking the bush! What a spoil.😍 the food was amazing. Champagne on ice. Chiling at a Beautiful pool. What more do you want? Was an unforgettable experience. Would recommend this to anyone who just needs a brake away. Sleeping in a safari tent with the comfort of a hotel room. The sound of Hyenas can be heard from your bed and the Antilopes and Monkeys greet you for breakfast. The staff and the owners really go the extra mile to make you feel special.

Full English breakfast and 3 course dinner catered for and the food was just perfect. 👌 Very friendly stuff members, felt like part of a family. Quiet and peaceful place Lot of spaces for relaxation alone with a book or with friends or travel partner Perfect place for "modern camping " as it offers experience of the wild, while still maintaining basic comfort and safety.

The nature.
Morokologa game reserve, we spend our Christmas at the camp and we had a beautiful game drive and morning walks with my grandmother. Played games and reconnected as a family.
Most of Gold cabins- the weather - the sound of the birds-
Since we have family and old colleagues in Hoedspruit we enjoy everything. Love going to Hoedspruit for a weekend break away.
The quietness.
It’s a beautiful town which is easily accessible and has all the convenient shopping around the lodges nearby and one is able to do various activities around the area.
Privacy!
The town is very small yet beautiful and neat. It has lots of tourist attractions and good place to visit, just to unwind!
