We offer 7 self-catering units all with en-suite bathrooms sleeping between 2 and 4 people. There is free wireless internet access, swimming pool, braai/barbecue areas and secure inside parking. All guests have their own remote control for the main gate. All units have separate entrances.

Area Information:
Situated at the gateway to the winelands with beautiful views of the Helderberg mountains, there is so much to do in the area. Visit one of the local wine farms for wine tastings, pairings, superb lunches, picnics and fine dining. See the historical town of Stellenbosch. Hike up the mountains in the Helderberg Nature Reserve or play golf at one of our six local courses including the world-famous Erinvale. There are superb beaches with many water sports on offer, plus sea fishing and boat trips. Visit the game reserves, go for a helicopter ride or a shark cage dive. Whale watching in season (July - November). Visit the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, take a trip up Table Mountain or visit Robben Island. Great shopping at the Somerset Mall just down the road.

My friend and I stayed for 2 nights while visiting friends in Somerset West. Our room was very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed sitting on our balcony with the mountain view. Diane and Kevin made us very welcome and we loved the garden by the pool. We were hugely impressed by Diane’s paintings – she even has her own gallery in the grounds.

Penny Lane Lodge proved to be a great find for me. The chalet was very clean and comfortable and had all that I needed. Diane and Kevin are great hosts. I travel through Cape Town airport quite a lot and I will certainly be using Penny Lane Lodge again.
