Adama Artistic Chalets and Teepees offers comfortable, private and fully equipped individual self-catering chalets and teepee accommodation for couples, families and small groups of friends. Set in the heart of the bushveld and unfenced inside the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve. Situated only 40kms North of Pretoria and an hour from Johannesburg, it is the ideal getaway destination to relax and unwind. Perfect for a quick weekend, or even midweek break, yet completely removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. A truly wonderful opportunity for couples and families to escape the fast-paced life for a while, and to spend quality time together enjoying what nature has to offer.

Area Information:The Dinokeng Game Reserve is the first free-roaming Big 5 game reserve in Gauteng, next to an urbanized area. It is a private/public initiative, therefore not all properties within the boundaries of the reserve form part of the reserve. There is a designated self-drive route for which permits must be acquired either from the reserve's gates/office, or at the entrance to the self-drive route itself, and a comprehensive map of the almost 125km route will be provided upon permit purchase.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience, I would definitely do it again. Wildlife sounds during the evenings was a wonderful experience. Very private and the artistic look and items were such a joy to see.
We had a comfortable and relaxed stay. Not even load shedding could spoil the experience. Adama has become one of our favourite places !
We had a lovely stay at Adama. Beautiful, unique unit (Hoepoe) and surroundings. Lovely pottery crockery. There was plenty of crockery and sufficient cookware, but unfortunately there was a lack of other small kitchen items. Guests should bring small kitchen utilities (e.g. whisk, chef's knife, proper braai tongs). Nick is very friendly and helpful. Zebras passed by our unit. Overall, a lovely place to stay.

The cottage was great for us and was perfect for a relaxing few days in the bush. We especially enjoyed the cosy break area and splash pool.
This bushveld break-away was wonderful and rustic. We felt very near to nature in the evenings around the fire, listening to the song of the bush. Or swaying in the hammock, you get that holiday feeling. We also heard the lions early one morning. We stayed in the Blou valkie teepee and find the camp very well equipped.
Enjoyed our stay very much. Will be back.
This place is amazing. We love the quiet of the bush and the house looks like something out of a fairy tale. Enjoyed every moment.

I enjoyed the self-game driving, though I only saw 2 of the Big 5's next time I'll use the Game Rangers drive... I also loved the picnic sighting the food there it's very nice and tasty...
