Karoo-Rust is a beautiful Cape Dutch style homestead, with glossy wooden
floors, high-beamed ceilings and warm welcoming bedrooms.
Each of the four elegant bedrooms are well-furnished with traditional wooden
features, fresh-white linen and private bathroom with showers, not
forgetting their sash windows that not only let the sunshine in, but allow for a cool breeze to float through.
A small simple self-catering kitchen unit is available for light meals, and is an open-plan layout with a communal dining room. Mornings are spent meeting your neighbours, chatting over the day’s future events and basking in the sheer cheer of being on holiday in such a beautiful part of the world. A splash pool is available outside, should some sun loving be required.
Karoo-Rust is situated in walking distance distance from the restaurants and shops in town.

It is a beautiful little town with good coffee, G & T's ( best ever at the local hotel) and friendly people.

Lovely little gem of a town. Lots of things to do, eateries and little shops and galleries to visit. At the base of the most spectacular mountain pass in all Africa.

The charm and character of this town impressed me. The Karoo gardens are beautiful and there are interesting local products for sale. I recommend the book shop in Marlene's home.

Peace and quiet; feeling of safety; good clean air. We attended a wonderful photographic course with Louis Botha.

The variety of things to do from hiking to cycling down a mountain, wine tasting, general relaxing in the various restaurant / gift shops. HIGHLIGHT SWARTBERG PASS!

Prince Albert is a lovely little town at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains.
What struck me in particular is how clean the streets are and the friendliness of the locals.
We went to a movie in “The Showroom” and were surprised to find such an amazing Art deco gem in the middle of the Karoo. “The Showroom” boasts state-of-the-art theatre and cinema equipment, making it suitable to facilitate and attract some of the country’s top performers.

Superb. 5 out of 5
