Area Information:This farm offers the traveller a reviving and tranquil experience in a truly breathtaking and unspoiled natural environment. Take a leisurely stroll in the veld or explore the interesting routes on the farm with a mountain bike.
Property Facilities:* Hiking routes
Go for a hike in our mountain camp – walk near to springbuck and eland and cross beautiful mountain streams.
* Horse riding
Saddle up and go on an awesome outride through pine plantations, kloofs and see stunning waterfalls from horseback. Note – no experience needed to ride
* Canoeing
There is a canoe on the dam – two guests can go at a time.
* Functions
We can cater for functions for up to 60 guests, eg. weddings and birthday parties – enjoy the old farm atmosphere in our renovated Old Barn.
* Mountain biking
Bring your mountain bike and explore the interesting and scenic routes in the area. We provide maps and GPS coordinates for a 20km, 40km and a 80km route.
* Activities for children
Children enjoy the wide open spaces, jungle jim and large green lawns to play on. Play ball with Ogies, our very energetic border collie – she throws a ball back at you… better than you can imagine! Collect free range eggs in the afternoon and feeding the rabbits.
* Quad biking
Guests are welcome to bring their own quads and explore the routes on the farm.
* Horse riding for children
We have beautiful tame horses and children enjoy riding them while mommy or daddy leads them.
Attractions:Riversdale is known as the Floral Kingdom of the Garden Route. Explore lovely hiking routes in the Langeberg Mountains. The Korintepoort Dam is a birdwatchers and watersport lover's paradise. There are various mountain bike routes in the area - the roads/routes are safe and has beautiful surroundings.
